The weather forecast was sunny all day
But it was grey and cold as we left Jalon
And even a few drops of rain
But it soon cleared and the sun came out
However we still kept well wrapped up for the early part of the walk
It was good to welcome David and Sabine for their first walk since the
summer break
They are not residents, but have walked with us for four years
And it’s always good to welcome them back and catch up on their news
We also had a new member, Joanne, today
She fit in really well and seemed to enjoy the walk
By the time we reached Parcent we had removed a layer or two of clothing
And we were more than ready for our picnic lunch
We were joined by these two, who we have seen around the valley
They seemed well fed, and were nosy rather than wanting food
We had made good time from Jalon to Parcent
So we did an extension to Alcalali
And then to the picnic site at the ermita
Where it was so pleasant in the sun that we were reluctant to leave
However Bar Claudia waiting for us in Jalon proved sufficient to get
everyone moving again
Another very enjoyable walk with a good mixture of new and old friends
