12 of us for today’s walk
Nice pleasant walk to Isbert Dam
Then a climb up to and through the disused railway tunnel
Followed by a long awaited banana stop
Then the long climb up to Fontilles
By now it was quite warm
And we had frequent water stops
Short break to recover and admire the delicate cairns
And enjoy the short stretch along the road
Then up through the woods
To the viewpoint overlooking Campell
We had lunch at the Ermitia
Where we could relax and enjoy the midday sun
And enjoy the regular issue of boiled sweets
A short stop in Campell to admire the “poor man’s Gaudi”
house
Some of the downhill track is more damaged than last time
But everyone managed ok, and had time to admire the Bull
Run.
Very pleasant walk back to Tormos
Except for the short “sting in the tail” climb
And a relaxing drink in Bar Tormos
