10 October 2019 – Jalon to Parcent via Pipelines

This was the first walk of the Thursday Explorers after our summer break
The weather forecast was for cloudy but warm
Apparently there had been light rain in Pedreguer this morning
Despite dark clouds at times it remained dry throughout the walk
This was the second Jalon to Parcent walk this week

But today we walked along the pipeline, rather than the valley to Alcalali
For some of the group it was their first walk since May
The gradual climb at the start felt like hard work
However it was cooler and more comfortable when we reached the wooded track
John and Tanya were sporting very bright orange shirts
They celebrated the recent Lliber village night walk
Colin also wore a very bright orange shirt

He wasn’t on the Lliber walk, he just likes bright shirts
We have not done this walk with a group before
So I was not sure how long it would take
We reached Parcent just after midday
So we did an extension to Alcalali on the return journey
This took us near the bars in Parcent, which proved difficult to resist
But they all had to settle for a water stop at the Alcalali Ermita
Very enjoyable walk, and nice to meet up with everyone after the long summer break
