The weather forecast was cloudy but dry all day – it
lied!
The rain arrived just as we started the walk
It was light but persistent, wet enough for waterproofs
At the viewpoint we agreed to carry on to the ruined
police barracks and decide there whether to carry on or abandon the walk
It was still raining as we had our banana break at the
picnic site
But fortunately had stopped by the time we reached the
police barracks
Everyone agreed to carry on and the waterproofs came off
By the time we reached “Fred Flintstone” the sky was
clear and it was warm and sunny
After the dismal start it was very enjoyable to walk in
the sun
And we arrived at the Denia Tower in good time for lunch
It was very pleasant sitting in the sun and admiring the
view
But we soon had to pack our bags for the return journey
A good track meant we could look around and admire the
views
And soon reached the windmills overlooking Javea
The rain had made the climb to the lighthouse very
slippery
We now had to decide whether to return the same way as
planned or walk down the road through the urbanisation
It was agreed to take the safer alternative route, which fortunately
John remembered
I dislike the long winding road, but it does provide some
good photo opportunities
Clear blue skies and pleasantly warm as we had our drink
beside the harbour
We were so pleased that we had decided to
continue despite the weather and were able to enjoy another great walk in great
company
