7 March 2019 – Parcent to Jalon

Eleven of us for today’s walk

Our first stop was to admire this unusual looking lady

Then our banana stop

With an unusual view of the valley

It was a pleasant change to have a smaller walking group

And also to do this local walk for the first time in more than a year

Jan also had an opporunity to try out the camera on her new phone

Jill joined us for her first walk with the group

She is considering moving to this area

And I hope today has helped to convinced her this would be a good idea

We were pleased to find that the track is much easier to follow than last time 

We made it to the picnic area just after 1pm

The sun clouded over just as we arrived

Which prompted some to cover up

We spotted a snake on the road, but he reached cover before I could get my camera out.

We made good time on the familiar valley road to Parcent

So we had an extra water stop at the Ermita near Alcalali

Despite this extra stop we arrived back in Parcent within five hours

It was sunny and warm by the time we reached the Co-operativea for our after walk drink

This walk reminded us just how attractive the Jalon valley can be
