18 of us for today’s walk

Nice to welcome Barry, Linda, Tom and Sue back to Spain again

Half an hour to chat and then up the first climb

A temperature of 22 degrees made it was our warmest walking day so far this year

Everyone managed the climb ok

But welcomed the water break and chance to recover

The next easy section was a welcome contrast

And it was not long before we reached our banana break

Some (Anita) had a much better option than a banana!

Another easy section to enjoy the warm sun and cool breeze

Then a short stop to consider and take a photo of the climb ahead

We set an easy pace and lots of water stops

Near the top we met up with our friendly goats again

Then the dramatic views from the top

This must be one of the best picnic sites in the area

We often have to find shelter from the cold winds on the summit

 But today it was warm and very pleasant

So we could just spread out and enjoy the views

And enjoy a longer than usual lunch break

We had completed about half of the return journey when Janet pulled a leg muscle

Though in pain she managed to make it back to the cars with the aid of painkillers and a couple of walking sticks
