Eighteen of us for today’s walk
This is one of our shortest walks
But everyone was ready for the banana break
Although short it still has 410 metres of ascent
And on a hot day like today that requires some effort
So we were all glad to reach the picnic site near the
aerials
Nice to have a warm day to relax and recover from the
climb
And prepare for the steep road climb to the
aerials
Then a short but impressive ridge walk
To the excellent picnic site at the end of the ridge
It is often cold at this exposed area
But very pleasant in today’s warm sunshine
All of the hard work is done now
The return journey is downhill
On the way we had to give way to a group of horses being
exercised
Another break before the final section down to the
village
We had made good time and were ready for another water
stop
Today really was ideal walking weather
The final section is a rough track and requires some care
and attention
Finally a very welcome cold drink at Bar Hogar in the
village square
