The weather forecast promised 22c, but fortunately no one believe it
It was more like 12c when we left Benimaurell all well wrapped up
Barry was our back marker, armed with a brand new whistle
The wind was also stronger, and colder, than expected
So we set a good pace climbing to the ridge
A few brave souls removed an outer layer before we set off again
And we had less water stops than usual due to the wind
I did consider an early lunch about 12 noon in a sheltered spot
But we agreed to push on to our regular picnic spot
Once more the wind dropped and the sun came out
So it was quite pleasant as we settled down to our picnic
And Paul distributed sweets to keep the troops happy
We had a longer than usual break to make the most of the sun
Then off again down the short slippery section
Followed by the gentle downhill path
We did not do the extension to the rural restaurant
And consequently arrived back at the bar slightly earlier than usual
First time for most of the group, and all seemed to really enjoy this
lovely walk
