19 of us on today’s walk
This is more than our usual maximum of 16
However it included Dave and Sue who were late additions
It also included Anneke and Toon who we have not seen for
some time
And Jan joined her first walk since Christmas
She is still recovering from flu
And found the walk more difficult than usual
But was still delighted to be out walking again
Roger and Helen were also on their first walk this year
They have also suffered from the dreaded flu bug
The weather forecast was uncertain
And there were clouds inland
But on the coast it was sunny with blue skies
Once more it was quite cold as we gathered at Javea
Arenal
But soon warmed up, particularly after the first climb
We were fascinated to see a group of gulls attack this
eagle
Then down to the beach for lunch
This was the first time we have found this beach to be
deserted
So we had plenty of space to spread out
Normally we appreciate the shade here
But today we were all looking for a sun trap
Another very enjoyable walk in excellent company
