Should have been 17 today, but three cancellations due to
illness this morning
It was another overcast sky with a very cold wind
But at least it was not raining
Nice to see Kevin and Sue again after a long absence
It’s a long climb right from the start
We were all pleased to reach the banana stop at the Fig
Tree finca
It was a short stop because of the cold wind
There is no path to follow, just a series of indistinct
tracks
In recent years a number of cairns have made it easier
But it is now very overgrown, which does not help
The satnav, and particularly the track function, also
helped
Our normal lunch location has great views, but is very exposed
So we looked for an alternative today
Not much shelter from the wind anywhere
So once more it was a short lunch break
On the outward journey we spotted a collection of metal
boxes near the finca
As we passed the finca on the way back Roger was stung in
the neck
Apart from the bees and the cold wind it was a good walk
Though we did complete it in record time
